It’s a grew pleasure for me to be here today and share my feeling after reading this book PETEY . I have read this book many times .I have a deep feeling all the time.

The story is about Petey –a domestic robot. Because the parents bought the Ultra –Reality Machine, they had to put up with the most out-of-date robot. One day, Sophine and Sam found petey was very odd. Actually, he want to be a human. It got their support. But Sophine and Sam’ mum found it and called the failory on the vid-phone. So they’re on a escape. On the way, Petey was caught by connections squad van while trying to save Sam. Petey was going to be sent back. Luckily, Sophine managed to persuade her parents to keep Petey at home for a few years. Now, Petey was travelling to the outer planet.

From my point of view Petey, he is very strong-minded and he has the pursuit of self-consciousness. I admire him. However, the parents ,contrary to Petey, lose self-consciousness. Bisides, they are addicted to the machine manufacturing in the virtual world. What’s more, they don’t spend much time with their children. I think they are irresponsible.

From the many details such as no real animals, only vid-teacher and so on, we can see the future people may not realize the importance of consciousness.

This shows that consciousness is very precious in one’s life.

However, in real life, there are a lot of teenagers sinking gradually in the growing process. They are not aware that the future was promising. In addition, they lose consciousness and lose themselves. They are like puppets of the line. Also, they are like the parents in the book. They live without much thinking. Their lives are meaningless, aren’t them?

It makes me more convinced of the importance of consciousness. We might get lost on the way forward. We might have faced with a lot of frustration. But as long as we have a firm determination and self-consciousness, we will be on the way to success .Let’s have a clear mind to face the challenge.
