The story of The Secret Garden has left me a very deep impression and I feel it is very interesting and mysterious. After reading the book, I have a thought that the world is a garden.

The girl named Mary Lennox was the main character of the story whose parents were killed by cholera. Compared with many girls, she was very unlucky, because she was going to stay with the only relation she had left, her uncle in Youkshire. As she arrived, the housekeepers made difficulties. She seemed to be unwelcome and she was very sad. After going up to a broad staircase and walking along corridor after corridor. She was shown into a room where she met Martha the next day, who helped her with her buttons because Mary was unable to dress herself up. Martha told her many things, including the secret garden. Though the garden was locked and nowhere to be found, Mary still felt curious and was dying to find it out. One day, a cheery sound distracted her. She looked up and saw a robin flying overhead. Then something caught her eye. It was a long, rusty key. What happened next was purely magic. A strong gust of wind lifted the ivy and she saw a doorknob. Here it was, the secret garden. It was such a peaceful place that nothing could disturb her. It soon became her own kingdom. For the rest of the week, she tended the garden. The rain began that night, she realized that there was a strange noise, which sounded like crying and came from the park she was not allowed to explore. But out of curiosity, she stepped into a huge room, where she found her cousin Colin Crave, who couldn’t walk and was too sick to leave his bedroom. Mary told him her experiences in India. The rain lasted for several days. This time, however, instead of feeling bored and unhappy, Mary had Colin for company. In order to make him have the courage to live up, Mary told him about the secret garden. And when Mary took him in his wheelchair to visit the secret garden, he began his recovery. For the first few times the tried to walk, Colin could only shuffle forward a few steps. By the time summer turned to autumn, miracle happened, he was not jut walking, but running too. During the process, Mary also helped Colin to build his own confidence and it was unnecessary for her to have Martha dress her up any more. She got up early to enjoy the beauty of the secret garden.

I have learned a lot from the story. First of all, as is known to all, it’s common to meet difficulties in our daily life. How should we face them? We should have optimistic attitudes. Just as the saying goes “Life is that a hard and tortuous journey”, as time flies, we will forget the embarrassment we have met. In fact, we often feel that difficulties are burdens we need to avoid at all cost. If we accept difficulties as challenges that we can learn from, then they will lose a significant power. When we cheerfully face our problems, we usually develop the right attitude to be able to deal with them. Besides, we should learn from Mary to enjoy our colorful life and make it more meaningful. Secondly, we should show solicitude for the others. There are many people who feel depressed even helpless about life. But in modern society, people are gradually becoming indifferent. We are so burdened with our own business that we nearly have no time to care for others or share ideas with each other. Thus, what we should do is to try to tell them how beautiful the life is in order to help them build their own confidence. Thirdly, we should be in harmony with nature. We can enjoy the beauty of nature. Mountains, lakes, flowers and so on are all the works of art. What’s more, there are many beautiful places like the secret garden which are undiscovered and remained to be found by us.

In my opinion, the world is a garden where we can hear birds singing and smell the scent of flowers. Besides, the garden is full of love, where people help each other. In addition, the beautiful view helps us change the life we are used to. Therefore, if everyone gives a little love, the world will become a better place.

The Secret Garden was written by Frances. It has a great effect on me as it deeply changes my opinions on the world.

I was moved by one of the main characters whose name was Colin. He had huge, black eyes that seemed too large for his thin, pale face. His mother was dead when he was born. He thought his father hated him because he never went to see him. He felt very lonely because of this. He always kept himself inside his own room and never went out to see the world. What’s worse, he couldn’t walk. He lay on his bed day and night. As a result, he was always angry about everything.

Luckily, a girl whose name was Mary helped him a lot. He began to accept the world outside. The girl told him about the secret garden which changed him later. He was pushed in his wheels by Mary and Dickon every day to the garden. And he finally decided to walk himself. Even if he fell down for many times, he never gave up. He tried again and again and he succeeded eventually.

I’m touched by the moving story and from it I know a lot about the world. I think the world is a garden in which different people play different roles. Besides, the nature is very great as it can change our lifetime.

When we first come to the world, we know nothing and what will happen. Then we begin to learn something we want. Even if we have failed for many times, we never give up and keep on doing it. When we face danger or difficulty, we should deal with it calmly and bravely. We should deal with everything correctly. We mustn’t give up when we meet difficulty, we should try our best to overcome it. We should believe ourselves and anything is possible in the world.

The world is very beautiful and we should protect it. I believe if everyone tries his best to do everything, then the world garden will become better and better. I believe that we will be the winners in the world.

Mary, the main character in this book lived alone without love and care from her parents before. Though she is old enough to dress herself, yet she can’t.

Someday, something incredible happened to the little girl. Both of her parents were killed by cholera. Fortunately, she survived. At last, she was sent to her uncle’s home who Mary wasn’t familiar with. The maid named Martha told her that there was a secret garden. Before she never went outside. However, this time out of curiosity she fell to looking for the secret garden. Sometimes, she asked for the second helpings which was completely different from the old Mary. Several days later, she found it with the help of the Rockin. Besides, she was given seeds and planting tools by Dickon. When in sunny days, Mary , together with Dickon, went to the garden to take care of trees and flowers, Day by day, everything in the garden came alive. At this point, Mary met her cousin of her own age. The boy usually threw a paddy with others. So all the people in this house were afraid of him. Beyond expectation, it seemed as if Mary had put a spell on him. Instead of losing his temper easily, he became calm. Finally, Colin could walk by himself and got strong.

After reading the wonderful story, I was lost in thoughts.

In the past, we might be naughty or selfish. But now we should learn from Mary, the girl who became intelligent and strong after going through special experiences. In the world of today, this kind of person is popular among people. Please correct mistakes if you have made any guard against them. When you are in trouble, your friends around you can comfort you and cheer you up. When you fail in the exam at school, your parents or teachers may encourage you to struggle to the end. When you step on one’s foot, he will smile at you not yell at you. Isn’t the world a garden full of love?

Nothing in the world is difficult if one gives mind to it. Let’s make the world a loving garden.

Each one is the architect of the world. Mary was not a simple girl. She built a beautiful garden for herself and the others.

Mary was not lucky enough when she was young. She never smiled because her parents cared little about her. To make things even worse, her parents all died because of a serious kind of disease and she had to live with her uncle, her only relation in the world.

Mary didn’t feel happy. She could do nothing for herself, even couldn’t dress herself up. She always refused to talk to the others, and people could seldom see her smiling. The girl seemed strange and felt lonely.

But things changed that day. A robin helped her find the key to the secret garden, which had been locked for ten years. When Mary opened the door, she also opened the door of nature. Since then, she began to accept the beauty of the world, and she also made two true friends, Colin and Dickon. The three worked together to make the dead garden full of flowers, trees and so on. Seeing the live garden, they felt it even better than heaven! The three cute young hearts smiled.

Mary was like a magician. With her help, Colin, who had never walked before could walk around the garden, all by himself. When Mary’s uncle finally came back, all these changes gave him a really big surprise, together with happiness!

I like Mary, not only for her wisdom but also for her kind heart. Though she was lonely and unhappy at first, her life proved to be a successful and happy one. From my point of view, the greatest happiness of life is that we show our love and are loved. The world is a garden and it’s door is open for everyone.

Don’t make yourself out of the garden. The world is full of love. Always smile happily because there is always someone showing love to you, so everyone in the garden is lucky. Open the door of your heart a beautiful garden will be in you view. And always show your love to others. Love makes the world a beautiful garden!

  Ten-year-old Mary was an orphan whose parents were killed by the cholera. She had to stayed with her uncle Archibald in Yorkshire who was born with a crooked back. There, a friendly robin helped Mary find a key to the secret garden. She also knew Dickon and told him the secret garden. Since then, they dug, pruned and cleaned together. The garden became their own world. She found his cousin Colin who was very weak and stuck indoors all day. The worst thing was that he couldn’t walk. With the help of Mary and Dickon, he can not only walk but also run too. He was not that weak and pale boy any more. The three children played together in the garden and be happy every day. Of course, the garden became a feast of autumn yellow and purple, and faming scarlet again.

As far as I’m concerned, this is a fascinating masterpiece. The content of the story is very great. I can see Mary changes step by step obviously. She was a plain and lonely before, even she couldn’t dress herself. People consider her in an anaerobic plague. However, she has become open-minded and active since she made some friends. I see a totally different girl. Even if she knows Colin is disabled, she didn’t laugh at him, but comforts him on the contrary and do her best to help him. What’s more, she shares happiness about the secret garden with him. There’s a great change the Colin finally overcomes difficulties and sees the sunshine again with the help and encouragement of Mary and Dickon. Mary is a helpful and kind-hearted girl and eager to help someone in trapped She touches Colin with he sincere heart who doesn’t hold out much hope for his recovery at first. She makes Colin a renewed life and a wonderful world.

The book makes me understand the value of friendship. Colin’s change makes me firmly believe that friendship can change everything even one’s life. It makes our world garden. The friendship gives us a powerful motivator to enjoy the colorful garden. In addition, everyone’s love is an important part of one’s life. Like Mary of this book gives her love to Colin and lets his world become a garden. Although our love may be humble, they can cheer a person up and enjoy the world as a garden. After all, it is not what you give, but the amount of love you put into that matters. Our world is compared to colorful garden due to our friendship and love. Let’s share our love and friendship with everyone to make our world more beautiful.

Mary thought Mrs Medlock ,the housekeeper of her uncle’s manor, was so unpleasant. She talked on and on and only allowed Mary to stay in her own room. Mary lived like a princess before. She never dressed herself and was easy to get angry.

But since she came to his uncle’s manor. It seemed that everything changed. There was a secret garden of course. Mary didn’t listen to Mrs Medlock. She found it with Robin’s help. It  soon became a secret between Mary, Dickon, and Mary’s cousin, Colin. It was on a rainy night that Mary heard Colin crying, who thought that he would hare a crooked back and die. But Mary didn’t think so. Colin was just too weak to walk. Gradually, she encouraged Colin to walk by himself. She took Colin to the secret garden with Dickon and helped him learn to walk. Colin became healthier and healthier. The three played together to make the garden beautiful. Mr Carven was so excited when he saw Colin was so strong. Mary was cheerful, too. The garden was so beautiful and so were their lives.

It was a moving story, wasn’t it? Mary didn’t like to be left alone before. She liked shouting when she was angry. But she changed a lot. The garden and the life in the manor made her easy-going and full of courage. She was happy the whole day. It was herself who made her life so wonderful.

The world is a garden, a big garden, isn’t it? We can meet many wonderful and pleasant things every day. They are like these beautiful flowers. And of course, we will also meet many difficulties. What will you do when you face them? Let’s learn from what Mary did. Don’t be afraid of just complain. You have the most useful key in your hand. Try your best to achieve your goals, with the key you will never regret what you did. But, where is the key? Hey friends. It just hides in your heart— courage.

   What a strange place it was! There was a secret garden and secret passageways. There were boys crying in the night and boys talking to animals. Mary was curious about everything here, especially the secret garden.

   Mary was ten years old, the beautiful image of innocence. Unfortunately, her parents were killed by cholera. Luckily, she survived and was going to live with her only relation she had left, her dear uncle in England.
