My childhood is filled with delight and excitements, so I always look back on those years to satisfy myself.

     Here I will talk about the main character, David, whose life was full of ups and downs .His mother and loving housekeeper Peggotty are in company with him, for his father died six months before he was born. Usually, he would go for a holiday to the seaside where her brother Dan Peggotty lived together with his loving niece, Emily. Later, his mother got married with the cruel man called Murdson. Since then the man always regarded his mother as a servant and never showed respect for her. Meanwhile, David was banished to boarding school. To his joy, he got on well with other students especially a handsome boy named Steerfoth. Unfortunately, his mother’s dead of tiredness, along with the baby boy and Peggotty was sacked by Murdstone, which made David feel lonely.

     Finally, Mr Murstore arranged for him to work in the warehouse. However, the couple of Mr Micawber were arrested because of debt. After experiencing so much .David made a plan to search for his aunt as the final little hope .Luckily, he found his anut and lived a happy life with her under the help of MrDick. New life began, David was sent to a new school and Agnes become his good friend, When he graduated from the school. David went to work at a low firm where he met Uriah Heep, who caused many problems. David resolved the problems caused by Heep and married a beautiful young man. Sadly, she died ,but in time David become a successful writer and marries Agnes. That is a happy ending.

      After reading this interesting book, I show my sympathy for David. In addition, I admire him very much.

      I believed that where there is will, there’s a way.

This book tells a story on a little boy’s growth. During his life, there was sadness and happiness, and lots of setbacks he experienced when he was young.

As a child, David did not have the satisfactory love like others. His father had died, then his mother married a very cruel man, Mr Murdstone. Because of his resistance, at last he was sent away to a boarding school.

Unfortunately, his mother died when he was at school so that he was forced to work at a warehouse. As a saying goes “He that can have patience can have what he will”, sometime later, he found his great aunt, Miss Betesey Tretwood and lived a happier life with her. Finally he became a successful writer.

From the growth of David Copperfield, we can see a boy with courage, stamina and positive spirit. Though, his early life was hard, he struggled with destiny instead of giving up negatively. As we know, today we have a happy life, but no pain without sweet. David is an example for us to learn from that we should be confident whenever in life or in study.

As far as I’m concerned, Mr Mudstone who is a character of this story is hateful. Not only was he rude to his wife but also he did not give David any love. Parents should give their children a meaningful and happy childhood. Besides, what I believe is that we must make friends with others cautiously and a friend like Steerforth is not a true friend. Finally, as an old saying goes “Friendship should not be all on one side”, we also have to be kind to others.

These days, I have been reading a book called David Copperfield. The book talks about a poor boy whose life has been full of ups and downs.

    David’s father had died six months before he was born. So David lived with his mother and the housekeeper Peggoty. Later, his mother married a very cruel man Mr Murdstone. Mr Murdstone was a bad person. He trapped David’s mother like a cage bird. He caused David’s mother to die. Then, David became an orphan. And he was down in dumps. I hate Mr Murdstone for his action made David alone and poor. I can’t stand getting along with such a person. What’s worse, Mr Murdstone has a sister called Miss Murdstone. Also, she was a hateful person. She was very strict with David and always shouting at David. I’m looking down upon her.

But every cloud has a sliver lining. When David was hopeless, he asked his aunt for help, who got up in a rage and stormed out when she heard David was a boy. Surprisingly, his aunt named Mr Betsey was very kind. She helped David in many ways. And then, they lived a happy life. She was very kind and helpful. I like her very much.

Adversity makes a man wise not rich. Though David’s life has been full of   ups and downs, it also makes David’s life wonderful. However, it helps David became a successful writer. I am moved by the brave David. He had set a good example for me.

Finally, I think perhaps everyone’s life has full of those ups and downs. When    we meet them, we needn’t to be sad. Instead, we should face them bravely. And nothing can trap us. So, we should be satisfied with our present life. Be more positive and brave. Only in this way can we live more meaningfully.

In the story David Copperfield, the main character is David Copperfield. David was unfortunate as a child. His father died when he was very young and then his mother married a cruel man named Mr Murdstone. From that moment, David was in fear. The man and his cruel sister Miss Murdstone always blamed David for everything he did. They even beat him heavily. Poor David had no chance but to behave more carefully. The last person that David could rely on was his housekeeper Peggotty. And one day, David bited Mr Murdstone, Mr Murdstone was very angry. Shortly after, David was sent to a warehouse to study. He couldn't forget those hard days in that school. So he decided to escape from that school and he did it successfully. He determined to center on his only living relative Great-Aunt Betsey Trotwood. On his way to his aunt, some bad things happened one by one. He walked for a very long time and then he made it to Dover which city his aunt lived in finally. Then David started a new life.

One morning, David visited his new school and met Mr Wickfield and his daughter, Agnes, who later became David's first wife. He was well-received there, but considered as an enemy by Uriah Heep, the law student. In the school time, David fell in love with Dona and soon they became secretly engaged to be married. However, Dona's father, Mr Spenlow didn't allow them to stay together, because David had no money. At that time, Mr Spenlow had a heart attack and died. David and Dona might be together. David struggled against Uriah Heep. At last, Mr Micawber charged Uriah Heep and Agnes got quit of Uriah Heep. At the end of story, Dora faded away in front of David for she had never looked after herself. David married Agnes and they lived together happily.

In the story, David had a happy ending and started a new life. His experiences were unbelievable to us. When he faced difficulties, he always tried his best to make himself go ahead. From the story, we know how happy our lives are.

I have never read such a moving story. Child as David Copperfield is, he puts up with too many pains and experiences many things even we can’t imagine. When he is a child, his kind father leaves away from him. Before long, a very cruel man comes and becomes his father. In his eyes, David is always making a lot of mistakes even if they’re small. One day, he says he will beat David and David’s rough life just starts with this. This cruel man sends David to a boarding school because of his last stand. As far as I am concerned, disaster will come to hit us one by one when we are in low spirits. David loses his mother, the one that is the last person who can take care of him. I can’t imagine that what a big shock it will be to David. Such a little child, with his mother death, starts his life as a worker.

However, what I insist is that every coin has two sides. Apart from mother’s death, David also experiences many other problems. By the time Agnes turns up, the girl will have changed the David’s whole life through. So can we rush to an conclusion that confidence is the most important thing we should have when we face the difficulties. As is often the case, chances are always coming to those who are full of confidence. We shouldn’t give up and we should try our best to fight for our future. Sometimes maybe we can’t change the world, but the more confidently we act, the brighter road ahead will be. This is just the lessons I have leant from the book!

When David was born, his father had died six months. Soon, his mother got marred with a man, who was cruel to the little boy and his mother lather. As David couldn't put up with the violence by Mr Murdstone, he bit him As a result, Mr Murdstone planned to send him abroad.

    The new school waiting for David was so shabby. In that school, David made friends with J Steerforth by telling him what he had suffered. Time flew too fast. The term finished and David was able to return home. But the things then happened made him sad. His mother became so pale and Miss Murdstone didn't let him get close to the baby brother. With disappointment, David went back to the school. Two months lather, the news that his mother had been dead came into his ear. At that moment, he felt his whole world had just been shattered. Mr Murdstone had treated his mother badly, and now he treated David in the same way again. He forced David to work at a warehouse. After the master of the house was sent to the prison, David planned to ask for help form his aunt. His aunt was sympathetical about his experience and helped him away from Mr Murdstone and found a school for him. David studied in the school and met his old friend.

    After David had graduated, he found a job in a firm. As he solved the problem for Agnes, Agnes began to have a good felling about David. But David married Dora, who was Mr Spenlow, the solicitor's daughter. Sadly, Dora died and finally David married Agnes and became a successful writer, living a happy life.

David, although he led a horrible life first, but he had good friends after all. He experienced both happiness and sadness. But I think this type of life is real life. It is fantasy, isn't it? The life without difficulties is not perfect.

    Then he was sent to London to work in the warehouse. There, he met a warmhearted man who was called Mr Micanber. But Mr Micanber was in a lot of debt. Because of this，he was put in prison. So David could only run away in search of a better life.

    After years，David married Dora. Then they had a baby later on. But their first baby died and Dora became ill.

    But everyone was cruel. Some people treated him very well, such as Mr Greakle, his aunt Betsey, his mother and so on. When David had no where to go, his aunt adopted him. He lived happily in the end.

    Generally speaking, we should learn from David. No matter what trouble we meet, we should continue to live. Though our lives are full of ups and downs, we should be in good spirits. It’s meaningful for us to try our best to make our lives become more and more beautiful. Never give up.

David Copperfield is lucky .Though he has a bad childhood and a bad stepfather. However, because Mr Murdstone is strict with him, David read many books. It is a base for David to be a writer.

David Copperfield’s mother is so poor that she chooses such a cruel man as her husband. This tells us that we should be careful while we get along with others.

This story also shows us we should be kind. Everyone who is cruel with others won’t be treated well at last.

Charles Dickens is generally considered to be the greatest English writer of the Victorian period and his books are still very popular today, often being made into films and TV series.

So Copperfield determined to look for his aunt, Betsey Trotwood.
