David Copperfield

David Copperfield was a poor boy, whose father died before he was born. Luckily, his had a happy childhood. His mother and his housekeeper, Peggotty took good care of him. One day, Peggotty took him on a holiday to the seaside. When he returned, he was surprised to find that his mother had remarried a man who he didn’t like, Mr Murdstone. From that day on, he knew some tough days were waiting for him ahead of him. Mr Murdstone and his sister were very hard on David, if he couldn’t work out the problems or recite some poems, he would have no food to eat and was kept in his room. Then one day, he was sent to a boarding school. There, he met Steerforth , who really helped him a lot. But one day ,he was shocked to hear the news that his mother had died,as well as his younger brother. He had to leave school, never to return. After his mother’s death, Mr Murdstone sent him to work in a warehouse, where he hadn’t enough food to eat and earned little. Fortunately, he met a kind family, the Micawbers. The whole family treated him kindly. To his sadness, the family had to leave London because of debts. He himself decided to leave the place ,too.

It took him ages to get back to his feet and at last he found his only relative—his Aunt Betsey. To his comfort, his aunt took him in and sent him to a good school. At that time, he lived with the Wickfields, and he made friends with the daughter--- Agnes. However, there, he also met with a nasty man--- Uriah Heep, who wanted to be Mr Wickfield’s partner and Agnes’ husband, so he saw David Copperfield as his rival. He caused many problems, but David resolved the problems successfully. After his beautiful wife’s death, David went on writing and become a successful writer,and he married Agnes. He finally got his happiness.

After reading the book I really learn a lot from it. I know we should never lose our confidence and courage when we are in difficult times. We should try our best to work hard and struggle for our future. In addition, everyone has his own strengths, we can make sure that we will have a bright future if we don’t give up working hard.

Little David’s father had died before he was born. Luckily, his early childhood was happy. But good things didn’t last long. After his mum married a very cruel man, Mr Murdstone, everything changed quickly. Mr Murdstone and his sister were very mean to David.Mr Murdstone always shouted at him and even beat him. Considering that David was a boy who was difficult to deal with, Mr Murdstone sent David to a boarding school. There, he met Steerforth, who treated him as a friend. After a term, he returned home and was delighted to find his mother had another baby. To his sadness, after he returned school, he heard that his mum had died, so did the little baby.

After his mother’s funeral, David was forced to work at a warehouse, where he had a very hard life. Having had an unhappy experience, he decided to escape. Finally, he found his aunt Betsey. However, the Murdstones soon came and wanted to take David back. Aunt Betsey refused them and shoved them outside. Quickly, David lived a fresh life and met Mr Wickfield and his daughter, Agnes. He was sent to a good school, and after he graduated from school, he began to work at a law firm. During his stay in London , David fell in love with Dora and finally married her. Meanwhile, he finished his law career and tried to be a journalist. But his happiness didn’t last long, Dora and their baby died. Luckily, David eventually found his happiness, he married Agnes and become a successful writer.

After reading the book, I find that an unhappy beginning doesn’t mean an unhappy ending. By trying our best to work hard, we can live a happy life. When we meet difficulties, we shouldn’t be afraid but face them and overcome them. Never give up, life will be better and better.

Recently,I read a book called “David Copperfield”.

 David Copperfield lived with his mother and their housekeeper Peggotty. Though his father had died six months before he was born, his early childhood was very happy. But everything had changed when David and Peggotty came back from a seaside where Peggotty’s brother ,Dan Peggotty lived. His mother married a very cruel man, Mr Murdstone. So David was sent away to a boarding school. In the school ,he get to know Steerforth, who helped David a lot. Then,David’s mother died and he was forced to work at a warehouse. In that place ,he was a lodger of the Micawbers. After the Micawbers left, David did a plan to find his great-aunt, Miss Betsey Trotwood. After a long time, David found his aunt and then lived a happy life with her. David went to work at a law firm where he met Uriah Heep and Agnes. David married a beautiful young woman called Dora. Sadly,she died, but in time David became a successful writer and married Agnes. He found his happiness.

From this book,I know that there are many problems in our daily life, but we can’t give up.We must struggle for life. If we do our best, we will succeed.

Recently, I have read an interesting novel called David Copperfield, In the book, I am attracted by the boy’s difficult experiences in different times. I suppose not only is it a story, but also it is the good medicine for our heart.

   In the story, David experienced lots of difficulties. Firstly, he was treated badly by his stepfather, Mr Murdstone. Mr Murdstone and his sister were always being strict with him. Later, the Murdstone’s cruel behaviour made David’s mother die, then he was sent to London and started his tough work there .Luckily, he had a chance to escape form London and he got help form his Aunt Betsey. David got happy and free in the new environment.

 However, it’s a pity that he fell into trouble again quickly. In fact, Urian was always fooling him and his friends. He wanted to get everything that belongs to Mr Wickfied and David .so he tried to do everything to hurt them. Luckily, Urian was caught at last, and David succeeded again. However, his wife and their children died. Fortunately，he cheered himself up and got happiness finally.

   After reading the book , I find I have learnt a lot from David. First, I think we need to be brave as David, Second I know the key to success is to insist. As the saying goes that hoped springs eternal, I must be confident and manage to wipe out the difficulties in the way like Copperfield .Last but not least, I learn that difficulties are good for our growth. If there is no difficult in your life, you won’t be successful. As a result, I start to like difficulties that I meet in my life, and manage to treat them as happiness, only in this way, will I beat them and get success.

   I hope I will achieve success by overcoming difficulties one day like David. I believe where there is a will, there is a way !

David's life has been full of ups and downs. During his life, there was sadness and happiness. And there are many kinds of people around him.

   David had a happy early childhood before Mr Murdstone got into his life. He felt as if the air had been strangled out of him while he heard that his mother had married Mr Murdstone. Then, Mr Murdstone ordered David's mother around and often bullied them. Finally, David had to defend himself. Five days later, David was sent to a boarding school in London.

  At Salem House, David knew some friends such as Steerforth. They had a good time there. But one day David was told that his mother had died, so had his younger brother. David was forced to leave Salem House to work in a warehouse. During this time, he met the Micawbers. However, the Micawbers had to leave the place because of the debt. David himself wanted to find his new life, so he had great trouble finding t his Aunt Betsey. He got back to his feet on the Dover ,where his aunt lived. When he was in Aunt Betsey's home, he knew Mr Dick and drove off the Murdstones with the help of Aunt Betsey and Mr Dick.

  Few days later, Aunt Betsey sent David to Mr Wickfield. He found himself dislike the person who opened the door for them called Uriah Heep. Uriah Heep invited David to have tea with his mother. David did ,but he couldn't stand Uriah and his mother. At that time, he met Mr Micawber again.

  David wanted to visit the Peggottys. On the way, he met Steerfotth and went with him together. Then, Ham and Emily announced their engagement. At last David had to return to Dover and he decided to become a lawyer. Aunt Betsey gave all her money to cover the training cost. In the following time, David liked Mr Spenlow's daughter, Dora. After Mr Spenlow died, David married Dora.

   Dora became ill because she didn't know how to look after herself and others. Then she died one evening. David was so sad.  David had to leave the place to forget the painful past. Finally, he married Agnes. David at least gained happiness.

  From the growth of David Copperfield, we saw a little boy struggling for happiness. His early life was unfortunate, but he was brave and wasn't afraid of anything. He won the struggle of happiness with his courage. Though we are having a happy life, we should learn from him that we shouldn't be afraid of difficulty in life or in studies.

  In this book, I hated Mr Mudstone very much. He was so rude to his wife and child. And at his times, parents shouldn't be like him that beat their children heavily.

  What's more, I think the when we make friends, We should know them. A friend shouldn't be like Steerforth who wants to get everything he wants. A friend should be polite and helpful.

    Then one evening at a friend's house, David's mother met Mr Murdstone. After a short time, his mother married Mr Murdstone. Everything got worse when this man's sister came to live with them. Everyday  David found it harder to work and the Murdstones would punish David for being 'stupid'.

    On the fifth night that David was kept a prisoner in his room, he knew that he would be sent away to a boarding school. To make things worse, David's mother died and he was forced to work at a warehouse. However, he couldn’t put up with the life there. So he decided to flee away. Then he had great difficulty finding  his great-aunt, Miss Betsey Trotwood, and lived a happier life with her.

    With the help of his aunt, he went to work at a law firm where he met Uriah Heep, who caused many problems. Finally, David helped his good friend , Agnes resolve the problems.

    David continued in his career as a writer, and he was even able to marry his dear pretty Dora. However, after their first baby's death, Dora died one evening in late autumn.  Because of Agnes's support and kindness, David became a successful writer and married her later.

     I  think David was lucky because he had the two women at his side, who mean everything to him. We should try our best to do everything well. In no case can we give up.

But in the end, he got nothing. David married Mr.Spenlow's daughter ,Dora. Unfortunately, their first baby died, and his wife died too. David was very sad. But David became a successful writer and married Agnes. David was happy to live with Anges in the end.
   David experienced a lot of difficulty, but he was so brave that he overcame everything and had a happy life in the end. We should learn from his spirits. When we are in trouble, when we are disappointed at everything, just be brave like David and face everything optimistically.

David was an unlucky child. Before he was born, his father had died six months ago. Later on, his mother got married with Mr Murdstone. The man and his sister were evil. They treated David badly. After an argument between David and Mr Murdstone, David was sent to a boarding school called Salem House. The headmaster was not a kind man. Luckily, David got the protection of Steerforth. None of the boys bullied him .

However, bad news came to David that his mother died. David had to drop out of school and was sent to work in a warehouse. It was fortune of David to meet a kind master, Mr Micawber. Terribly, Mr Micawber left London later on. David only looked for Aunt Betsey to rely on. To his happiness, Aunt Betsey took him in. Then David began his new life.

When David studied in Doctor Strong's school, he lived with Mr Wickfield and his daughter, Agnes. Meeting Mr Micawber again made David very happy when he visited Uriah and his mother. David's time at Doctor Strong's school passed very quickly, and he needed to decide what he wanted to do in the future. But before doing that ,David paid a visit to Peggottys. Fortunately, David met his old friend, Steerforth. Then they went to Yarmouth together. It was good news

that Ham and Emily had just announced their engagement. David was happy for their love .However, Steerforth seemed to not be satisfied with their love. David felt strange, but he didn't find the cause. At last, David returned to Dover and decided to be a lawyer. Meanwhile, he was took on by Mr Spenlow. He knew Mr Spenlow's daughter,Dora and fell in love with her .Unluckily, David had no money later on. So Mr Spenlow didn't treat him well any more. Also, he didn’t approve of the marriage between Dora and David. To everyone's amazement, Mr spenlow died of a heart attack soon. David was sad , but he was happier to get married with Dora.

Afterwards, David received a letter from Peggotty to say that her husband was seriously ill. So David and Steerforth made a trip to Yarmouth. It was bad news that Emily left Yarmouth with Steerforth. Ham was very helpless. Dan was very angrily with Emily and wanted to find her. David was ashamed of Steerforth. Uriah Heep almost controlled Mr Wickfield's home and wanted to marry Agnes. Although Mr Wickfield knew everything, he didn't have the ability to fight with Uriah. He needed the proof. To our happiness, Uriah was found his bad behaviour. However, Dora died at last. David was sad. Agnes kept him company all the time. Finally, they got married and had a good life.

 I have read a book about a man named Copperfield these days. Just as he said, his life was full of ups and downs. Only six month before his birthday did his father die of a sudden.
